Once upon a time…

There was a friendly monster called Merlin, who didn´t like being bad, but everybody was afraid of him.

There were also dragons and, as they were bad, people thought that Merlin was bad too.

Merlin decided to go out for a walk with his friend Lisa. They met a group of girls who, when they saw Merlin, were really scared.

One of them was the King´s daughter who then told her father what she had seen. the King sent his best hunters in kingdom to search for the monster.

They looked for him everywhere as they did not want him to scare the town’s inhabitants again.

Merlin saw them and ran away. He was afraid for himself and for his friend Lisa as he did not want her to be hurt.

They were running away from the hunters when Lisa fell into a trap the hunters had set and was injured.

Merlin pulled her out of the trap and saved her and they went to live in another place. There, they demonstrated to everybody that they were not bad and that sometimes appearances are decieving. From then on, they could go out for walks and nobody was scared of them or tried to hurt them.

Once upon a time there was a kid called Arthur who went to collect halloween sweets. He dressed up as a pirate and, after finishing asking for sweets, went home.

Arthur went to his room after dinner, took his teddy bear and fell asleep. His parents wished him good night and kissed him happily to sleep.

While sleeping, a noise gave him a start and he woke up. Arthur looked under the bed and there on the floor was a giant! But Arthur was not scared.

Then he heard another strange noise from inside the wardrobe and it was Mr. Vampire. Later still, he heard a noise coming from the window, and this time it was a ghost.

The noises continued increasing inside the room without stopping. Arthur was worried when heard the door open but calmed down when saw his parents, who had biscuits and Arthur’s  halloween candies.

Together they ate the biscuits and candies he had collected that terrifying day.

And that is the end of the story…

Once upon a time…there was a man called Andrew that was hunting monsters. One day caught a huge monster and so, he became famous.

A little monster was living with a family in their house; somebody told Andrew about him, and he went running to find him and finally caught the little monster.

Andrew began to earn so much money with his hunting monsters job, and became millionaire. One day, he decided to hire someone to help him, because had so much work to do.

Another day, somebody called Andrew asking him to catch a medium size monster. What a surprise, when Andrew went to look for him and realized how nice and colorful the monster was. They became good friends immediately.

He realized that the monsters were very nice, as he got along with them, decided to buy a bigger house to live with the monsters in it. And they were all very happy, being very good friends and living together.

And that is the end of the story…

Everything began when Samy was on his way to town ready to carry out his plan of scaring all the children there. The town, called Vill, was situated on a high hill in the forest, on the other side of the river.

“Where do you think you’re going? You can´t cross the river, it´s the deal we nade with the people of Vill!” Samy turned around to see a female monster looking at him with a smoking nose, an expression of anger.

When Samy saw Vicky he began to feel strange feelings in his stomach, but tried to ignore them. “But… who are you? I don´t care about the deal, I´m crossing anyway! Ha ha ha” – said Samy.

“Really? Well, I won´t let you!”

“Nobody will stop me from carrying out my plan!” – said Samy. He was about to kick Vicky when he looked into her big green eyes and his heart began to beat very fast, Samy stood there paralysed.

“What are you doing? Come on brave Monster, are you scared?” – said Vicky.

“Well… I’m thinking actually,” – said Samy with a trembling voice – “I’m thinking that maybe you are right, maybe we should not break the deal.” – he continued.

Vicky looked into his eyes and his shyness touched her and she instantly changed her attitude. “I´m going back to the forest, do you want to come?”- she asked.

“Sure!” – said Samy.

And they walked back to the forest together leaving the river behind them.

And that´s the story of how Samy changed his bad behavior and became a nice monster. And of course, they fell in love and got married and had lots of kids, which live with them in Big forest and help them to take care of all the townspeople around.

Kingtown is a mountain village situated up in the hills and it is always covered with fog at sunset, which makes visibility more difficult for its inhabitants.

One year, at Halloween, everyone was walking to the main square where somebody was telling a scary story, and with the thickness of the fog, it was difficult to see people´s costumes.

Julie was dressed up as a witch, and as she was walked to the square, she felt a shiver down her spine. The nearer she came the more shivers she felt, but she couldn´t see anything because of the fog.

When she arrived at the square she noticed that something strange was going on. Everyone was wearing the same costume. “They are all zombies!” – thought Julie, – “walking to the cemetery”.

A zombi passed near Julie and touched her, she screamed when she realised that it was a real zombi.  She went to see another zombie to check if it was real too or just a costume, but it was real.

Julie ran away from the square trembling with fear, but couldn´t hurry too fast because of her witch costume.

Suddenly someone caught her arm It was a zombie, Julie started to scream “help, help!”, but nobody could hear her. Suddenly, an alarm clock sounded.

It was only a nightmare because of a movie about zombies that Julie had seen the night before. She had learnt her lesson and never saw a horror movie before going to bed again.

In a town close by, lived a man who had one eye missing because of an occupational accident. The monster was always making fun of him saying: “Can you see me Mr. one eye? Hahaha!”

Then, one day the one eyed man waited for him to seek revenge. When the monster approached his house, the man threw a stone into one of his eyes which made the monster scream.

The evil monster lost his eye and became a one eyed monster. Then he understood how the man had felt every time he had made fun of him. That made him realise how evil he was with the citizens and so he changed his behavior.

He never disturbed his neighbours again, and began to help people when they needed it. The monster was not evil anymore and everybody loved him.

A long time ago in a faraway forest, lived a monster. All the animals were scared of it and always ran away from him.

The monster always looked angry, and those who had seen his face said that his eyes reflected the evil that was in his heart.

One day, a beautiful hummingbird, drinking in a big lake, saw lots of animals running to the North of the forest. The beautiful bird asked one of the animals why, and the animal said: “If you want to stay alive, run!

The hummingbird looked into the forest and saw the monster, but instead of running away, decided to approach him.

When the monster saw the hummingbird, it looked at him, and the bird saw the kindness in its heart reflected in its eyes and realised that it was not an evil monster.  “We will never be alone again,” he said to the monster, who smiled happily and became the bird´s best friend forever.

His parents always said: “You don´t have to be scared, the moon won´t fall.”

Gary didn’t know why, but he was very scared and imagined the moon falling and crushing him.

Halloween arrived and Gary´s parents insisted that he go out and have fun with his friends, Gary accepted this and went out but never took his eyes off the moon… 

Then Gary started to play with his friends and soon forgot about the moon. His parents were very proud of him.

Suddenly the moon started to move and to change her aspect. Canines appeared in her mouth and Gary started to run, but the moon caught him and said: “You are mine!”

The boy shouted, but the moon just laughed.

Gary was shocked and he couldn´t understand anything. Then the moon said: ” Today is Halloween and I can also dress up as a monster, but I am not a bad moon, it´s just for Halloween!”

From that day on Gary understood the moon and lost his fear of her.

One day, Hugo found out that most of the land’s adult men (including the king) were setting off to hunt a monster that was attacking their homes at night. In that mountainous land there was a kind of very famous and peculiar monster called the Monstro. It had three eyes, growled so loudly that you could hear him from miles away and on top of that he also drooled.

Hugo silently followed the men hunting the Monstro, and soon reached the dark cave where the monster lived. Hugo hid behind a rock from the other men, for he was the prince and easy to recognise.

While the group of men argued over how best to hunt the Monstro, Hugo snuck into the cave and went in search of it by himself. Once he had found it, Hugo threw himself on its leg to stop it moving, then pulled a sack over its head so that it wouldn’t bite him. After a few exciting and tense moments, Hugo tied its arms behind its back and took it out of the cave to show the king.

When Hugo told his uncle the story, the king was fascinated and knew that Hugo was now ready to be king. So he declared the news to his subjects and everyone applauded the decision. But Hugo added this: “If you had known me better, I wouldn’t have had to prove my courage with the monster. Because courage is inside a person and need only be shown in dangerous situations.”

Jake, for that was the name of an adventurous little boy from the area, decided to investigate and set off to explore the area around Loch Ness. Jake knew that if the rumours of the monster were true, he wouldn’t come out of his adventure alive. But there was something inside him that made him think that what people said was false.

Jake believed that if there really was a monster in Loch Ness, she couldn’t be as bad as the villagers said, for he believed that all living beings had their good and bad points, and that we should try to get the best out of each other.

So Jake went off with his backpack full of food. When he reached the banks of the lake, he began throwing the food to attract the Loch Ness Monster.

Suddenly, he heard a thunderous noise coming from the lake – the monster!! Jake, who was very brave, stopped still at the edge of the lake and began shouting at the same time as the monster bellowed. This made the monster fall silent, and after a few seconds her four-eyed head popped out of the water right in front of Jake’s.

Of course Jake was very scared, but he stood quietly. Puzzled that Jake wasn’t moving, the monster asked: “Aren’t you frightened, little boy?” Jake didn’t say a word, so the monster kept on talking: “I like you. You’re the first person not to run away when they see me.”

Little by little, Jake grew calmer and more reassured and eventually replied: “I’m sure you can’t be all bad. You don’t eat children, do you?”

And that was how Jake and the Loch Ness monster ended up being friends, and Jake told the story all over the village and made them see that the Loch Ness monster wasn’t as bad as everyone thought. And everyone realised that we should get to know someone first before saying negative things about them.
