In a faraway city, four beautiful girls lived with their Mum and their Dad. The girls loved Christmas, especially the presents they were given.

One day, the girls asked their father:

– “Does Santa put magic powder taken from fairies over his reindeers so they can fly?”

And their Dad replied: “No. That’s not true”.

Their Mum reprimanded their father for the answer he gave the girls:

“Of course fairies exist”, she said, “and they help Santa give beautiful presents to all children“.

When the girls woke up the next day, they exitedly ran to the Christmas tree. When they saw that Santa had left presents they believed the story their mum had told them and were very happy.

and they spent the whole day full of excitement, playing with all their new toys.

And that is the end of the story…

…The prince knew that the question was really difficult, and thought it was going to take him more than 5 seconds…He made a great effort, and three thousandths of a second before the time finished, he exclaimed:

– “3.838.214!!!”

- “Well done!” – said the voice – “Continue on your way, you just have one question left”

The prince kept walking through the dark corridors, watching out for everything around; suddenly he saw a light shining at the end of the corridor coming from a door, the prince ran to reach the door, but this closed brusquely and sirens were heard, the voice spoke again:

“This is the last question you have a few seconds to solve. You still have one mathematical problem to solve before these walls close in and turn you into a human strainer!…And the question is: If you add 18 to a number and then subtract 53 and the result is multiplied by 3 the final result is 195 ¿What is the first number?”

The prince had never faced a mathematical problem like this. He solved difficult problems, but none like this. His nerves betrayed him, seeing that the pointed walls were closing in to end his life, he  could not concentrate on solving the question.

There were only two centimeters of space left before the mathematical prince would be squashed and begin his long journey to heaven. Suddenly the correct answer came to his mind:

– “100,  number 100!!” – exclaimed the prince.

At that moment, the walls stopped thus saving the prince´s life. He ran towards the exit where his father was waiting.

– “Son” – said King William – “What are you doing coming out this most dangerous mortal trap?”

– “I got lost looking for the park” – said the prince – “And I got in there accidentally. But it was very funny, I almost died in the end, but I knew the answer before the walls stabbed me”.

– “Son” – the king added – If you weren´t spending the whole day shut in your room studying maths, the worst possible end would have happened to you. I apologise for trying to separate you from that activity. Now, you can continue doing what you were doing, if you want”.

– “Yes, dad” – said his son – “I´m going to continue what I was doing: Looking for the way to the park. I have been meditating and I think the best thing is to go out and breath some fresh air. Maths are so useful for people in everyday life, so we don´t have to stop studying it, even if it seems to be the most boring subject in school. But to stay all day shut up in my room, away from the world doing only one thing is not good either.

I understand that it is good to go out, hang out with all kinds of people, especially those of my age. That is why from now on, I am going to study and to have fun at the same time. I´m not going to be shut in the whole day without talking to anyone. I will dedicate the first hours of the day to my school studies and after finishing my homework, I will go out to play with my new friends. Thanks dad”.

The prince was never alone in his room again. When he arrived from school he did his homework and then went out to play with his friends.

And he lived very, very happily for the rest of his life….And that is the end of the story…

In a faraway kingdom there was a prince who really loved maths, he was always solving mathematical problems in his notebook, and never used a mathematical calculator.

One day his father, King Wallace, said:

– “Dear son, you should go out and enjoy our garden and take some fresh air. It´s important to have friends and disconnect by breathing fresh air and by getting to know people. Please don´t spend all day solving mathematical problems in your room.”

-“Ok, but I don´t think I will enjoy it as much as I enjoy maths” – replied the prince.

The prince barely knew his castle, he was always worried about his maths problems and never looked further forward. He had never discovered the world outside his room, the number of corridors and doors and he didn´t know which door led to the back garden. Suddenly he saw a big wooden door at the end of one corridor. “That might be the exit”, he thought, and so he opened the door.

But it wasn´t the correct door. The prince had entered a dark place and he couldn´t see anything. After taking two steps he heard a voice saying:

– “You have just entered the most dangerous crossroads ever. You must solve three problems to get out of here.  If you make a mistake, you will never see daylight again. And the first question is: multiply 489 by 360?”

– “176,040!” – exclaimed the prince.

– “Correct!” – the voice exclaimed – “You can continue”

The prince realized that it was only about mathematical problems so he kept walking from the crossroads, observing everything around until he arrived at a steep cliff that had no exit. The voice said:

-“Now I have three questions for you, a step will appear for each one you solve and then you will be able to cross the cliff to the other side, but if you fail one of them, the steps will disappear and you will fall into the deep chasm and be devoured by snakes and poisonous spiders. And the first question is…How much is 92 divided by 2 minus 4 by 1 by 5 minus 8 by 3?”

The prince thought about it before answering.

After three seconds the prince said: “Two!”

– “You are right!, here is the first step”

The young prince obeyed the voice, who immediately said:

– “The second question: How much is 64 divided by 8 plus 3 by 2 plus 6 by 5 plus 9 divided by 3?

– “61” – said the prince sure of his answer.

-“Correct!” – said the voice, and added – “Walk to the next step and pay attention to the third question…How much is 43.126 multiplied by 89? you have just 5 seconds to solve it”

The prince knew that the question was really difficult, and thought it was going to take him more than 5 seconds…He made a great effort, and three thousandths of a second before the time finished, he exclaimed:

– “3.838.214!!!” ………

Paul really likes playing in the fields. His parents have a little house in a small town near to a city, which they usually go to every weekend.

There, Paul could play near a small stream, where he could wet his feet.

Paul likes hunting bugs. He likes to hunt for crickets, frogs, and fireflies. One day, he caught a frog and went to put it in a jar. When he was about to pick up the the frog, the frog looked at him and said:

-“I will become a Prince if you kiss me”

-“Ugh! Disgusting! I´m not kissing a frog!” – said Paul – “And, why do you want to be a prince anyway? Nowadays everybody ignores princes. To be a talking frog is much better.”

The frog did not seem to be very convinced. He had always wanted someone to kiss him so he could become a Prince. His life as a frog had just been, waiting, waiting, waiting and waiting.

But Paul had just told him that to be a talking frog was amazing, unique in the world. Everybody was going to be amazed. He could even become President or Minister of the Environment or a Minister’s assistant!

The frog still did not believe Paul too much, as he wondered who would pay attention to a frog, but he accepted Paul’s invitation and went to Paul´s house.

– “You need a name”, said Paul, “What was your name when you were a Prince?”

-“My name was William Baltimore III” – said the frog proudly.

-“Ok, now you are called Willy, ok?” – said Paul.

The frog was not too convinced, but accepted anyway.

Next Monday, Paul took Willy to school with him, and there was an immediate stir. Everybody wanted to see Willy the talking frog. Willy made more friends in one day than in his whole life as a frog.

Willy was suprised, how could that be possible, so many people paying attention to him? He was just a green, sticky frog. Paul told him that he should not focus on bad things, he had to think about what made somebody unique and different from everyone else.

So, Willy completely forgot about the idea of becoming a prince. He learnt to read and write, and he read many, many books, and talked to many, many people. He even appeared on television.

But he never forgot that it was Paul who had taught him to live happily as a frog.

Paul and Willy stayed friends forever.

….The waiter ran off to look for help, but what a surprise when suddenly he began to turn orange, and green leaves sprouted from his head. He was turning into a pumpkin!

The kids in the dining room where still impatiently waiting for their dessert, when suddenly they heard strange voices and saw brooms flying out of the kitchen.

They all went to see what was going on. They were all delighted and approached the kitchen to see that day´s magic. Suddenly, Biby said:

-“Kids, today is Halloween!”

This took them by surprise, so they made a cloth bag and went around the school, class by class asking the famous question:

“Trick or treat?”

Suddenly, the whole school was involved in a unexpected party. Everybody enjoyed it so much and began to think that if there was chocolate ravioli it was because the cook had planned the menu at the beginning of the month and was the only one who had remembered such an important date.

Biby and the cook and all the other children ended up getting the best deal because every halloween day they planned to enjoy sweets and candies…Trick or treat?.

And that is the end of the story…

In Biby´s school dining room, there is a huge kitchen where, everyday, the cooks prepare the best recipes they can.

Among these recipes are lentil with vegetables, rice with tomato, meatloaf, and a very nice dessert which the veteran cook calls “chocolate ravioli”, which is always cooked for special occasions.

One day, the famous chocolate ravioli had been prepared. It had been ordered a long time ago but the dessert was still in the kitchen. Something was going on!.

Suddenly, one of the waiters went into the kitchen a bit concerned, because he had to serve the ravioli, and the kids in the dining room were getting hungry. What he saw left him speechless.

The cooks had put on witches dresses and pointed hats, and some of them were even flying on their brooms!

The saucepans had turned into huge cauldrons, where the witches were stirring a potion, tasting it with giant wooden spoons.

There were toads and snakes roaming around the kitchen, between the cauldron and the rest of the strange ingredients.

Once upon a time there was a very pretty and young princess, who wanted to marry the prince of her dreams.

One day she secretly travelled to Everland to see the prince she had always dreamed about, but met a powerful witch called Evelyn on the way.

The witch wanted to change places with the princess and even to look like her and this she finally did. The witch left looking exactly like the princess who was in love with the prince. The princess now looked like the witch but still had the dream of visiting the prince.

When the princess arrived in Everland, the witch was already there with the prince.

The princess wanted to show him that she was the real princess but the prince did not trust her. He asked the witch to marry him and the witch accepted quickly.

One day before the wedding, the prince saw the witch casting spells and so decided to send her into exile, but as the witch was so powerful she bewitched him.

The princess was so sad when saw him bewitched that she started crying. One of her tears dripped onto the prince´s body and he woke up immediately.

The witch was so tired of fighting for the land that she gave up, and the princess turned back into a real princess again with her beautiful looks.

The prince realized what had happened, and asked the princess to marry him. They got married the next day and lived happily together and went on to have many beautiful babies.

Once upon a time there was a kid called Arthur who went to collect halloween sweets. He dressed up as a pirate and, after finishing asking for sweets, went home.

Arthur went to his room after dinner, took his teddy bear and fell asleep. His parents wished him good night and kissed him happily to sleep.

While sleeping, a noise gave him a start and he woke up. Arthur looked under the bed and there on the floor was a giant! But Arthur was not scared.

Then he heard another strange noise from inside the wardrobe and it was Mr. Vampire. Later still, he heard a noise coming from the window, and this time it was a ghost.

The noises continued increasing inside the room without stopping. Arthur was worried when heard the door open but calmed down when saw his parents, who had biscuits and Arthur’s  halloween candies.

Together they ate the biscuits and candies he had collected that terrifying day.

Everybody knows Superman is unique, but there is a secret.

Most of people thought that superman did not exist, or that had been defeated by Doomsday.

Doomsday was dominating the world until one day, a meteorite fell far from the city. Those who were saved found somebody inside the meteorite, a boy that was looking for his father. They asked him who was his father and he said:

– Kal.

He was talking about Superman´s real name, but they said he had disappeared.

Years passed until the kid became an adult.

He was so sad because of his father, wanted to see the person who fought against him for the last time.

Found Dommsday and beat him in order not to hurt anybody again. So, everybody knew him as Superman red son.

He always tried to defend inocent people beating evil.

And that is the end of the story…

Once upon a time there was a girl called Chocolate and her parents were knight Merlin and queen Sissi.

They were very happy until one day, the witch Evelyn appeared. They ran away to hide inside the castle, but Evelyn wanted revenge.

Fifteen years later, Chocolate had grown up and it was her birthday. Her parents organized a big party to celebrate it. But when the party finished, Chocolate went outside where Evelyn was hiding and caught her, separating her from her parents.

Her parents were looking for her, but she had disappeared because the witch Evelyn had locked her up in a tower.

Five years later, Marcus; a brave prince went to fight against the evil witch and rescue Chocolate. The prince Marcus beat Evelyn, rescued the pretty princess Chocolate and took her back to the castle with her parents. The good news of the princess coming back home was received with jubilation.

Prince Marcus fell in love with her beauty, and they finally got married and lived happily with the princess´parents, without the horrible memory of the evil witch called Evelyn, because the brave prince had ended up with her bitter and evil existence.

And that is the end of the story…
