A sixteen months kid´s ability is causing a stir in Europe. The Manchester United from England, wanted to sign him up.

The kid is called Matjaz Kranec and is from the Slovenian city called Maribor.

The world is new for Matjaz, like for any other new kid. He has been reared with football since small, he could hold and throw balls with his hands with only six months old.

His father used to take him to the field every day to train, and nowadays, with only one year and four months old, can hit a ball very strong with his left foot.

The little became very famous, and now, one of the best football club of the world, The Manchester United, from England, wants him.

English press visited him at home, interviewed his father to discover what kind of things can the baby do, when they interview was over, invited them to go to England to live.

There, they found a job for the father, and took the kid to train with the young divisions of the Manchester United.

Thanks to all of these, the kid is so successful, and his parents earn lots of money. But the most important is that they all live very happy in England, and are so glad that the kid has such a gift which enjoys every day.

And that is the end of the story…

New Short Story for boys and girls written by: Juan Pablo Urcola (Argentina).

Once upon a time, under a leafy tree situated in a beautiful garden, there was a little frog who had made a cave between the tree´s roots.

The frog Mimi used to croak every day until midday, when the sun illuminated her door.

When this happened, Mimi went out of her cave through moss and the morning dew, hiding somewhere, looking for flies, mosquitos, worms and ants.

One morning, while she was tuning her throat to sing her serenade as always, a big storm began, and drop after drop, the rain was so strong.

Hours passed, and the rain was not stopping. Mimi needed to go out to look for some food, but how could she get out her little cave with such a storm?.

One of Mimi´s characteristics was that she never gave up easily, she actually used to hatch a plan in order to beat difficulties and reach her purposes every¡y day.

Mimi hatched the next plan:

Number one: Search for fallen leaves outside the cave´s door.

Number two: Don´t be afraid at all.

Number three: Be really careful outside under the rain.

Number four: Tie the leaves and weave them together, making a little survival canoe.

Number five: Get on the canoe and have confidence, the plan will work.

And so, Mimi, the wise frog, went rowing through the garden, carefully and with confidence. Rowing through puddles in the graden, searching for her usual food.

Her plan was so successful that had food left for the next day. So, went under the leafy tree, the sun rays were already shinning after the storm, and she could enjoy what she most liked to do; croaking, singing, croaking…

“Croak, croak, croak, ribbit, ribbit, ribbit, I am singing because I am happy, croak, croak, croak, gribbit gribbit, gribbit. I am singing because I overcame my fair”

THE END.

Many years ago, there was a palace, and inside the palace was living a princess called Ciara. She was the prettiest sister, but she had one defect, she had no wings.

All her sisters had wings but her. She was very sad, besides she had no wings, her powers were too weak. She felt bad until took two big leaves, pasted them on her back and began to fly.

But her sisters were too mean to her, and they took their sister´s wings made of leaves when she was sleeping, and broke them.

When Ciara woke up the next day and asked her sisters:

– “Where are my wings?”

Turned around and saw the wings broken, started crying and the a fairy who did not have wings either appeared, and told her that she did not have to be sad because each one is special, and she had to love herself.

And that is the end of the story…

- Moral of the Short Story: Love yourself, have self confidence.

- Values of the short story: Happiness, self steem.

One day, she decided that it was better to express her feelings talking; but her father advised her to do it as she was used to, she had to be unique, she had to express her feelings in other way, to feel better.

Just in that moment Lily said:

“I will follow my heart“.

Short Story (Part 2), written by: Mapy

The old turtle went into the cave and began to walk. Croky started to sing out aloud so the turtle could hear him.

The little frog sang louder and louder forgetting all his complexes, ensuring that the turtle could hear him from the cave.

His voice sounded clear and beautiful. Croky could not believe it, he was singing great and very loud!

Then he went inside the cave and continued to sing. His voice was like a speaker inside the cave, and lots of animals heard it from the forest and approached. What a wonderful surprise Croky got when he went out and saw all the forest animals there applauding and congratulating him, rabbits, squirrels, birds, deers…and, of course, his two sisters were there very excited, applauding him.

Croky couldn´t believe it. He actually began to cry with joy, it was the best day of his life!

Then he looked at the turtle and said: “Thank you very much, I couldn´t have done it without you. How did you do it?”

– “It wasn´t me, It was you! Your beautiful voice has always been there, but you couldn’t find it because you were only concerned with your complexes. You just needed to have self-confidence and believe in yourself ” – the wise turtle smiled and added – “Now sing us another song, we are all waiting for it!”

Croky looked at all of them, breathed deeply and began to sing from the bottom of his heart.

Short Story written by: Maribel

There was a beautiful girl with light coloured eyes and shiny hair like the sun. She was so beautiful than even the sun smiled every time he saw her.

She had everything she wanted but for one thing. She was very sad because she wasn’t able to do anything for herself. She didn´t have any self-confidence.

She was always alone and was incapable of talking to people and so people would ignore her.

She loved music, but couldn’t sing, nor paint, write or even play with other kids because she always thought :” I don´t do anything right“.

She always played alone with her dolls, singing to them and using her imagination.

Days and months passed and she learnt to live like that. She knew herself better than anyone, but as she grew up she began to lose her shyness. She began to talk to people who hadn’t known her before and that had been ignoring her, and she was seen to be a great and wonderful woman with a lot to offer.

She then helped other people like her to have self-confidence and taught others not to ignore anyone, as it is important to not judge anybody before you get to know them.

Short Story written by: Pedro Pablo Sacristán

Peter was a very shy kid who hated birthday parties with other children as he was not able to talk to anyone and did not enjoy them at all. At one of the parties he couldn’t handle it any more and went into a room to hide.

He was sitting on the bed, angry with him self for not being able to talk to anyone, when a little green goblin who was covering his ears appeared in front of him:

– “Stop screaming!” – said.

– “I´m not screaming” – replied the surprised kid – “I never talk to anyone.”

– “But, why you don´t stop screaming?”

– “What are you talking about, I never say anything!”

– “Your body doesn´t stop screaming, listen to your body language, your hands, your feet. Now, with this pair of magic drops you will feel better and will hear what your body has to say”.

The goblin put the drops behind his ears and Peter could hear his body complaining. His body was saying how uncomfortable it was there, and that it wanted to go home, and that it hated to be so shy.

Peter understood the message the goblin was giving him and during the next few days, understood his body language better.

The next birthday party came and Peter noticed a girl sitting alone at the end of the hall with her body screaming at her. He approached her and taught her the same lesson the goblin had taught him.

Have self confidence, people notice if you are not comfortable with them. Don´t be shy and have self-esteem.

THE END

Hector was always eating junk food. He loved it and his mother allowed him to do it.

Used to eat five peaces of pizza only for breakfast with strawberry milkshake; nine hot dogs at lunch time with coke, and seven big burgers for dinner.

Over time, Hector became a very fat boy and everybody made fun of him at school.

People in class called him fatty Hector, and he used to feel lonely, what made him eat even more to calm his feelings.

One day, Hector was eating his hot dogs when realized that to be respected by the others had to respect himself first.

Decided to change his eating habits, told his mother to buy healthy food instead of junk food, and began to eat healthy.

Little by little, Hector became a healthy and strong boy. He enjoyed playing football with his class mates and felt happier than ever. He had high self-steem and was nice to everybody.

Short Stories written by: Maria Agustina Cavalie.

Matilda was a special girl, she was a witch, but a good witch.

One day she went to the birthday of her friend Joan who had organised a pyjama party at home and had invited all her friends.

When Matilda saw Joan´s friends she felt very sad because she thought she looked very ugly compared to them. She wasn´t ugly at all, but she felt like that and so decided to go back home.

When she arrived, she went straight up to her room, closed the door and cried until her mother arrived.

When her mum saw her like that she went to talk to her to cheer her up.

She explained to Matilda how beautiful she was, and that every person has their own beauty, and hers was plentiful because she was a very nice person and that also made her beautiful too.

“Thanks mum” – said Matilda

Then she went back to the party in the company of her mother. When Joan saw her she ran to hug her and asked:

“Why did you leave?”

Matilda told Joan her reasons and they laughed together when they realised how silly she had she been.

They enjoyed the party, and the fact that they were good friends was what mattered.

THE END
