THE DONKEY NOT SO DONKEY

Short Story written by: Carlos Javier Tello.

Once upon a time, there was a donkey living in Tukuman, who was a bit annoyed because “donkey” was the word used when somebody did not study or did not learn a lesson at school.

He was very fed up, always braying, because he did not understand why someone who did not know something was a “donkey”. “Why don´t they say rabbit? Their ears are bigger than mine!” – he used to say.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROSE IN THE GARDEN

Short Story written by: Maria Eugenia  Aburto

Andrea lived in a small town with her parents and her little brother. The town still had old houses, fruit trees and windmills that pumped water from the wells.

Andrea was a lively nine year old girl. She had white skin, curly, coffee-coloured hair but wasn’t very healthy. She really liked to help her mum at home by watering the roses in the garden during spring. There were many roses of many different colours; yellow, a variety of pinks, red and white, and there was one in particular that stood out among all the others because it was violet.

THE ANIMALS’ LESSON

Short Story written by: Jose Mauricio Puentes Arias.

One day, all the animals in the forest decided to have a meeting, from the biggest to the smallest, because they wanted to solve a problem that they were worried about. They were tired of seeing humans throw their rubbish into the water, contaminating and so harming nature.

For this reason, lots of them, mostly their young, were dying. They hatched a plan to make humans suffer just as much as the animals were suffering.
