A CARICATURE OF MY MUM

Short Story written by: Rotsen Zerep.

My classmates asked me what I had given my mum for Mother´s Day, and I told them I had given her her a caricature. They asked me why and I said I didn’t have money and that is why I had drawn her.

A month before Mother´s Day, I asked my mom to wake me up. When she did, she would sit and watch the news on TV, and when I had finished my breakfast I used to draw her without her even noticing.

ANGEL WINGS (SECOND PART)

Short Story written by: Sharon Krager

As the school year went by, Amanda missed more and more days. I felt sad for her. Her Mother would pick up her homework and bring it back so that Amanda wouldn’t fall too far behind. I found out that she had to have surgery on her tumour and I was worried about her.

I found out that she didn’t live too far from me and then another friend of mine told me where she lived.

I made it a point of going to see her one Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks after her surgery. I knew that she was recuperating, so I didn’t want to go too soon. Her Mother met me at the door and welcomed me in.

This was going to be a great beginning of a great four years for me. All of my friends felt the same way I did. They were ready to get out of junior high and move up to the big school, Feldman High.

Hi mum, I am going to tell you something that happened to me today at nursery school. Imagine for a minute that I was the new girl at school and everybody saw me differently but that I was in the middle of everything; Do you know what, mummy?, I met a skinny girl, with long, black hair like Rapunzel´s, but also curly. She has chocolate coloured skin and a heart full of love and happiness, and she hugged me with her soft arms.

LITTLE COOK

Short Story written by: Romina Anabel

Once upon a time there was a little cook living in a faraway town, it was really faraway. She was called Caroline, and was a cute and good girl. Her hair colour was curly and golden blond and so long it reached her waist. Her eyes were as blue as the sky and her lips were so pink that even the roses were amazed by them. She had cute freckles on her cheeks that gave her a touch of mischeviousness.

The faraway town had a king who was always sad, in a bad mood and bored. He ate chips, hamburgers, soda, sweets and all the junk food he could buy, because he did not have any chef in his palace because of his difficult character.
